Rebirth Journey (Retreat) Recap

My dear friend Audrey SantoDomingo and I had an idea.

When I mentioned to Audrey I was coming to Costa Rica with my family and would love to see her she thought "we should host something!"

A one day event turned into a full 7 day retreat in the jungles of Costa Rica. This would not only be my first retreat I've hosted but the first destination retreat I ever attended.

I was blown away with the women that were called to attend Rebirth, that came together in the most vulnerable and powerful way. The level of expertise and passion that came from our facilitators was incredible. The whole thing came together in the most beautiful, organic way.

Our venue Tierra Encantada was nothing short of breath-taking, from the food, to the location, accommodations and spa healing.

However, here's the thing with human experiences. We aren't all going to have the same one. We all come in with different lenses, expectations, desires and perspectives. We are all unique individuals. How I perceive things may not be what is actually happening for others.

What I have learned from this is to honour those different experiences. Honour the feedback (however hard it might be), and honour each individual on their own journey and learn from it. Always growing, evolving and expanding. Maintaining humility and compassion.

I recognize clearer communication, more transparency and a more definitive vision is needed in moving forward. This helps when navigating and meeting everyone's expectations.

I presented my 10 steps “To Reclaiming Your Power” at Rebirth. I've been working through these steps post event myself.

Some steps: taking imperfect action, humility, forgiveness, and failing forward.

Sometimes you get things right from the get go, and sometimes you fail and then  there's everything in between.

What this event did was show us where we made mistakes and where we need to step in more clearly and confidently.

Audrey and I share the same vision of holding the mother, protecting the children and celebrating the family unit in all its beautiful, messy, raw and vulnerable ways.

Stepping into a space where mothers and their children can coexist together. Creating moments for the mother while children can enjoy activities and come together in shared experiences.

This has lit something in us so fierce and we're excited to see where it goes!  @Audrey is clear on her mission with  Wealthy Womban and I am ready to bring Warrior Mamas into the world.

So if you're wanting to start something, are scared of failing, not sure how, I hope that this can be inspiration for you to do the thing! Take Action!

Yes you may fail! Yes you may miss the mark! Yes you may get some criticism. You may also succeed gloriously and experience all the ups and downs at the same time.

All of it is learning. All of it is necessary. All of it guides you to where you need to go. None of it is for not. It's all part of the journey and it's leading you closer and closer to your higher purpose and allowing you to become more courageous and more confident in all of your endeavours.

Not everyone will understand, see or resonate with your vision. But someone will. Do the thing! You'll regret it far more if you never try.

Remember this is just the beginning.
